The solo dream pop project of New York-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Patrick J. Smith,  A Beacon School delves into the power of stating directly what you feel without holding yourself back on new single ‘Mantra’. Taken from upcoming 10-track LP yoyo, the piece is rooted in his signature style of up-tempo yet intricate sonics, whilst the lush soundtrack balances heartfelt emotions with a sense of empowerment, allowing us to feel everything we’ve been trying to push aside. Drawing strength from the acknowledgement that things don’t always go our way and that’s okay, the collection is set to be an untainted exploration of the unconscious artistic self and the oscillation of time.
